History:
Alexos was dumped as a tiny kitten in the bin and found by one of the volunteers. As he needed bottle feeding he was brought to the charity.

Character:
Alexos loves attention and cuddling. He is very friendly and social and also likes to lie on your lap if he gets the chance. Alexos can be with other cats, dogs that are used to cats and fits in every family. We are looking for a house for him where he can also go outside.

Adoption procedure
All adopters will be required to complete an adoption agreement and will be subject to a home visit. UK Airlines will not fly animals directly from Skiathos. Other European airlines will fly animals directly from Skiathos, to The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, etc.

Cost
All cats are spayed / neutered (except for the cats younger than 5 months) tested for feline AIDS and feline leukemia, provided with a passport, vaccinated, micro-chipped and treated for fleas and worms. Airline approved travel boxes will be provided. In the HOPE to get more cats staying in our care adopted to LOVING HOMES the charity will subsidies the ADOPTION FEES, MEANING ADOPTION to The Netherlands will be €220. For other countries the cost will vary due flight or future transport.

History:
Ariel came into the charties care in a high kitten peak period in a time records were not kept so we do not know where she was found or came from.

Character:
Ariel is very friendly and loves attention. The volunteers think Ariel has an allergy to liquid flea treatment, so to manage this we give him flea tablets.

Basil - missing one eye

History:
The charity was contacted about Basil by the vet. He was brought there because of his eye was hanging out, which was removed by the vet but he was never collected.

Character:
When Basil first arrived he was very shy and kept his distance. But in a very short time Basil came out his shell tremendously, he is now very friendly and loves to follow you for a cuddle. He is very friendly towards others cats.

Charcoal - one eye

History
Tourists stop one of the volunteer when she was walking along Megali Ammos beach and they said they’ve been watching Charcoal for days and he had a very bad tummy and was very lethargic and didn't seem well at all. Having seen him the volunteer realized he needed to see the vets not having a cage she picked him up and carried him all the way to her apartment (about 1 km) he stayed in her arms the whole time. His poor tummy was bad very bad after seeing the vet Charcoal was taking to the charity for treatment. Sadly one of his eyes was very cloudy as well and need to be removed.

Character
Charcoal is energetic, playful and loves to chase the other cats around. He can be shy with people at first, but once he’s used to you, he likes to come up for attention.

Justin - deformed front paws

History:
Justin was born with deformed front paws and brought to the charity at a really young age because the streets weren't safe for him

Character:
Despite Justin having his front paws deformed he is a really playful boy. He can be really nervous at the beginning but once he gets to know you he opens up and will come to you for cuddles but he will need a long time to adjust

Character:
Lottie is a boy who wanders around the volunteers, but is weary to be touched at first. If you take your time with him, he loves the cuddles though. He needs a home with loving people that give him the space he needs to gain more trust. He can live with other cats and older children.

Monica - missing 1 leg

History:
Monica came to the charity after the vet had called SCWA and said workers from municipality had found a cat at a warehouse with a broken leg. Once they arrived, her leg was broken and sadly had to be amputated due to severe break.

Character:
Monica is a lovely, sweet and gentle natured girl. You would think she would be nervous due to only having 3 legs but is quite confident and adventurous once she has met you. She is always looking at you waiting for a cuddle and as soon as you sit down she will come straight to you. Monica has also recently started enjoying lap cuddles and will purr away contently.

History:
Moon was found by a volunteer at a remote area as a kitten. Becasue she was afraid he could not take care of himself as there were no feeding stations near it was agreed he could stay at the charity.

Character:
Moon is a small guy that loves to chill and relax. If he trusts you, he loves your attention and cuddles and lets you groom him. Which he doesn’t do that well for himself. He gets along with other cats and can live with older children that know when to respect his boundaries

History:

Onzo was taken in by a volunteer when he was a kitten. His right front leg was in bad shape, but it is not known what happened to it. As the leg couldn’t be saved it had to be amputated. This is why he is not very mobile, but he gets around very well.

Character:

Onzo is a lovely, modest boy with beautiful markings on his face. He has one cat friend (Stripey, who does not like humans), but does not mingle with the other cats at the charity. At first, he is a bit distant. But once he gets to know you, he will come walking up to you every time he sees you. And he really enjoys his cuddles then.

Rene - no tail - needs urinary food

History:
Rene was found at a feeding station with a semi degloved tail. The tail was removed removed by the local vets and has healed good. When he was just at the charity he got an urinary infection due to the stress of it all. It is adviced to give him urinary or good balanced food.

Character:
Rene is very friendly and loves to cuddle and kiss! He is not too fond of other cats so would be best in a home where he can be the centre of attention and can shower his new owner with love, cuddle and kisses

History:
Sally was brought to the charity during the high peak of kitten season in a time records were not kept.

Character:
Sally is a special, old lady, that loves to sit besides the volunteers when they work. She will patiently wait for you to notice her, with her goofy face. If it takes too long, she will make a sound or just brush against your legs. She loves your attention and loves to cuddle with you. She deserves a loving home of her own, where she can spend the rest of her life in peace. She can live with other cats, as long as they are not too dominant. Older children will do fine, but she is not that playful anymore, at her age.

History:
Blind Samson was found in a state by one of the volunteers with a ear ripped of and bad eyes. One of the eyes couldn't be saves and sadly had the be removed and he doesn't have vision in the other. He was brought to the charity to recover and because it was not safe for him on the streets the decision was made he would stay at the charity.

Character:
Samson is a lovely cuddly boy who is very inquisitive and makes the sweetest sounds. He loves exploring and climbing, and the great outdoors. He sits by the door all day wanting to go out.

Yasmine - fall in cheek

History:
The charity was contacted by some tourists about a cat in town with a very bad looking cheeck. It turned out to be a bacterial infection. Yasmine was brought to the charity and got treated for it but as a consequence she has lost almost all the fur on one of her cheecks and muscles. Her left cheek has fallen in because of it.

Character:
Yasmine is a big tabby girl. Who enjoys the company of other cats. She loves to be stroked and is purring machine ans loves her cuddles
